When Jan Hencher came towards the end of her project and the time came for her books to be printed, the issue of the cover design came up. Jan suggested a drawing which depicted the trials and tribulations of her story and those that she came in touch with. To be perfectly honest the Bound Biographies office team just thought that it wouldn't work and that it wasn't the best cover in the world. However, the cover was printed and bound on to the paperback books using the artwork Jan had selected... and the result? A very striking book that makes a huge impact before you have even read the book. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

A recent client came to us with over 200,000 words... Given that the average book is 50,000 words long, our immediate thoughts were 3 books not 1! After a period of editing and making sure we had all the right material in the correct order, Jean Crossley's early history of her family entitled The Houses has now been printed. It tells the family story by focusing on the houses that they lived in, and some of them are fairly grand affairs. Mrs Crossley was pleased with this first step, and so now wants to move on to editing and producing volume II. So watch this space!

A new client with Bound Biographies writes:
When I was three years old my favourite cat died. We had lots of cats and two or three dogs. As a baby I was 'protected' by Jock, a Cairn Terrier, who sat under my pram all day and no one or nothing was allowed near.
